Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined being featured on the best selling reggae album in the US but I’m learning that if you dream big, work hard, and surround yourself with good people who support you, anything is possible. I’m very excited to share this live dub mix of Rebelution’s “Roots Reggae Music” with everyone which features the legendary Don Carlos and a special guest verse from New Zealand’s Katchafire. I did the final recording of this live in Hollywood on my California Winter Tour 2015 after a few months of work. Looking forward to sharing the mix and the video next week! – DA
Year-End Wrap Up – 2014
It’s been a massive 2014! I released 15 live dub mixing videos (18 dub mixes released this year total) of bands like John Brown’s Body, Rebelution, THIRD WORLD & capletonmusic and many more, released the audio/video from my sold out set at California Roots, I did 2 mixtapes for Easy Star Records that have been played over 300,000 times, I toured the east coast, Mexico, and California traveling over 20,000 miles and playing over 40 shows, celebrated my one year wedding anniversary, and bought my first house! Now I’m headed back to California this Tuesday to start the Dub Architect California Winter Tour 2015 – 8 shows in 8 days around southern CA to start 2015 off right!
Thank YOU – colleagues, fans, family, and friends for your support! I am working tirelessly to bring to dubwise reggae music to the forefront of the global music scene and show people the happiness that performance, production, and interacting with music on a deeper level can bring. In this tutorial I explain how to setup an effects loop to add effects like reverb and delay to instrument and vocal tracks. Ableton Live 9 is used but the same process can be applied to any DAW and the same theories apply to setting up effects loops using analog gear.

Dub Architect Dub Mixing Workshop in San Diego, CA at Worldbeat Center on January 2nd, 2015
San Diego, CA! Dub is complicated but dub is also simple! During this workshop the Architect will teach a brief history of dubwise production, take students “under the hood” of his custom dub station, explain what equipment is required, go over the process for procuring the necessary files from artists, demonstrate many various dub techniques, and provide exclusive background on his own dub productions from himself and the arists he’s worked with.
